Adding More Hair To An Existing Hair Transplant

Front view before and after his second procedure.

Every hair transplant is designed to look natural and stand the test of time as a single procedure. On occasion, Dr. Boden’s patients opt for a second procedure to enhance the density of their hair or to fill in areas that have not been treated or because of additional hair loss. In this patient case study, we present Jim, a 67-year-old male who was feeling pretty confident about his appearance after having 2,207 hair grafts. He also took oral medical hair loss therapy to maintain his existing hair. He was so happy with the result that he wanted MORE HAIR!  During his 12-month follow-up visit, he told Dr. Boden how glad he was with the results but wondered if he could get even more density and coverage in the front, middle, and crown. The final photos were taken approximately 30 months after his first hair transplant session. In the video you can see his results close up as Dr. Boden combs through his hair and that he had excellent healing in the donor area.
