Follicular Unit Extraction (FUE) is the latest technological advance in surgical hair restoration, a technique that minimizes any scar appearance in the back of the scalp and requires great attention to detail.

With an FUE hair transplant, hair follicles are removed one-by-one from permanent hair-bearing areas and then meticulously re-implanted into areas of hair loss. As a result of individual extraction versus an extraction of a whole strip of hair follicles, the scars are extremely tiny – less than 1 mm in diameter. If you choose to shave your head, the donor scar will be generally undetectable.

Dr. Scott Boden is one of the very few surgeons in the world who performs the FUE transplant procedure. This time intensive procedure usually takes a full day to perform. Recovery takes about 3-5 days and while there are no stitches, you do have a number of tiny scabs during the healing process.
