Hair Transplant “Plug” Repair

This patient had a “plug” hair transplant decades ago, where large, approximately 4mm hair grafts were excised from the back of the scalp. This older method created large circular scars on the back of the scalp and a doll’s-hair effect in the recipient area.

Because of the extent of the patient’s hair loss and limited donor hair, Dr. Boden performed an advanced FUE hair transplant technique, transplanting tiny hair grafts to camouflage the prior hair plugs and give the patient a much more natural look.

The patient is exceptionally happy with his new natural appearance.
