Hair Transplant to Thicken Diffuse Hair Loss

This 36-year-old male presented with diffuse thinning of the hair on the top of his scalp. He was classified as Norwood hair loss stage 5. After consultation with Dr. Boden, he elected to have a FUT donor strip harvest. With thick donor and no desire to shave his hair short in the donor region, the FUT would be less visible and his incision healed very well.

He underwent a single FUT procedure. Dr. Boden transplanted approximately 2,200 follicles. The patient continues to use daily topical minoxidil and dutasteride for hair loss maintenance.
